This course provides an introduction to the methods, models and reasoning that have led to discoveries about neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, synaptic transmission, the somatic sensorimotor system, vision, emotions, attention and consciousness, memory and learning, sexual differentiation and orientation, and psychopathology.
In-class experiences are organized around principles of team-based learning, with students collaborating in small teams for readiness assessments and team applications.
This course fulfills the gateway requirement for the Neuroscience major. First years are welcome.
